The Self-Service app is an app that allows us to send notifications and for you to find the 'approved' LSU apps, essentially an LSU app store. It can also be used to install configurations, such as the automatic LSU email setup, to make things easier for you. You can remove it, but it will eventually reinstall itself. Removing it doesn't limit our ability to manage the iPad.
Notable apps include the Office Suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. all of these can be downloaded without being logged into an Apple ID.
Other configurations include, Add LSU Email. This will automatically set up your LSU email on the mail app, all you'll need to do is put in your password.
Currently, there are a few apps on the self service app that require an apple ID to be signed in. We're slowly working through these, and eventually everything on there should just install.
